October 24th 2022-An Architect and the Population increases


 We Finally found Pine Valley's Architect.  Bennett Martin was the first to find the Architecture career and he was promoted to Brick Layer on the very first day.

His taxes for this round is 1,512.00 and we are still looking for a new mayor.


Bennett is also the first to become engaged.  He proposed to Marylena Hamiliton and she moved in with him.  I do want them to get married but I want to give Marylena a makeover.  She also brought in $18,000 with her along with a full inventory.  She does have a job in the military which she will have to quit as the military is not unlocked yet.  The Military career is unlocked when a community lot is built for the military.  Not sure how that is going to work out yet but I am sure something will come to mind.

Repairs-Bennett's bathtub broke and he needed to repair it.  Repair services are open when someone skills 10 Mechanical Points, the Population becomes 250, and 10 appliances have broken.

Because this household now has enough money they are moving into a bigger house as soon as Bennett is a high enough level to build houses.

Considering that Open for Business was my favorite Sims 2 EP, I decided that Pine Valley should have many entrepreneurs.  The citizens of Pine Valley should patronize these businesses to keep the economy of Pine Valley growing.  As seen in this picture Marylena is doing just that.  

Wyndham Tyler has just opened the first home business.  For now he is doing business as Wyndham's Bric a Brac.  I decided he should stock a couple of items that could build skills or provide fun along with items that he dug up in his yard.  He has been selling Chess Tables, Dart Boards, Dog Bones, Rocks and a Chicken Statue.  He does own $656.00 in taxes which he has not paid yet as he invested his money in his business.  Pine Valley is still without a mayor so hopefully Wyndham can pay on the next round.  He did meet several young ladies that would make a suitable wife.  Next round I intend on having him get to know a few of them.

Round 1-Fall-Susan Kane-Bad Luck Chance Card

  The first rotation has a lot of ups and downs for Susan.  Day 1 in the Political Career, Susan was promoted to Intern and on Day 2 she was promoted to Lobbyist.  However on Day 3, she was given a chance card and ended up losing her job.  If we had a deputy mayor that sim would have inherited the job but sadly we do not.  There will be a special election (The first sim to find the job in the paper is considered a special election) to determine who is the new mayor.  Susan is still eligble for the job.   At the beginning of the round her taxes came out to $1,928.80 which she will send to the new mayor if she doesn't hold the job.  In the meantime we should be working on her Lifetime Wish of Having 6 Grandchildren so we will send her to the park to meet up with some eligble bachelors.

Welcome To Pine Valley! These are the first families based on "All My Children" Characters. The following sims are the founders and when I entered the game there was one day left in Summer so I am playing each sim for one day then I will rotate by season.  The first full rotation round will be fall.   Unlike Wyndham, Ursula was able to pay her taxes of $1,229.00.  Who she paid them to?  I'm not sure.   However, she is going to have to find a way to earn money somehow and I thought she could do some gardening.  Ursula thought it was a good idea to Garden in her underwear.  Oh well, she does want to woohoo with 20 different sims so I guess I should expect this behavior from her. We do need to work on that LTW so should start on that. It looks like the Chandler household has a new addition to it.  Ursula adopted a stray dog named Tucker.  I did decide that the first household to adopt a stray pet would be the first one to open a pet store and I am going to stick with it but it turns out that Ursula has won the special Election.  Ursula is the new mayor.
